What is trauma ?
Trauma is an emotional response that can happen from a significant event or a series of events in your life. Trauma is interpreted differently for each human being. What is traumatic for one person may not be traumatic for another. Long term reactions from trauma include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even physical symptoms like pain, headaches or nausea.

What is Trauma Resolution Coaching?
Trauma Resolution is designed to support individuals to resolve the emotional responses and ongoing effects associated with traumatic experiences, without having to constantly relive the trauma. Trauma Resolution Coaching is Client Specific and is centered around the clients individual needs. Trauma Resolution Coaching allows the client to bring the unresolved emotional states to the surface for resolution in a safe and controlled environment.

How does trauma affect you?
It can impact an individual’s functioning mentally, physically, socially, emotionally and/or spiritual wellbeing.  Since trauma can occur at any age it can affect individuals differently. People affected by trauma may develop coping mechanisms to help alleviate the emotional and/or physical pain they feel as a result of trauma. Sometimes these strategies involve maladaptive behaviours, behaviours that interfere with an individual’s daily living or ability to participate in particular settings.

Can the effects of trauma be addressed? 
Trauma informed approaches can support individuals to begin to process their experiences in a resourceful way. Meaning once resolved you can have no physiological or emotional response to your past experiences.

How can I work with you?
Before we commit to working with each other, it’s important that we ensure that we are the right fit for one another. And we do that through a free Connection Call.

I’m not yet ready for a Breakthrough Day, can I still work with you?
Yes, of course. You can apply for 1:1 Sessional Coaching through the link on the website. I only support a limited amount of individuals at a time, applications are essential to ensure your spot.

Do I need to have experienced life changing trauma to work with you?
No, not at all. I also specialise in Relationships and Parenting Coaching as well.

What happens when trauma resurfaces?
If there is a reemergence of memories, emotions or behaviours it typically means that the trauma that was repressed is now coming up for resolution because it is safe enough to resolve. This doesn’t mean it surfaces at a convenient time.

How does Trauma impact my relationships?
When a person has experienced trauma, regardless of the type of trauma when left unresolved they can experience heightened emotional reactions such as anger or aggression, they can have a tendency to move toward shame and guilt, isolation and dissociation. They may feel unsafe, betrayed, or have difficulty trusting others. They may have coping mechanisms which negatively impact their relationships over time.

How are the sessions conducted?
Breakthrough Coaching Days are held in person in the South Eastern Suburbs of  Melbourne. Sessional 1:1 Coaching is done via zoom.

Do you work with anyone?
I work with women who are READY. They are ready once and for all to resolve their trauma, reclaim their power and walk boldly towards a life of self trust and inner certainty.

The day with Sarah was one of the most confronting situations I’ve had to deal with. I was not in a good headspace when I arrived, but I knew I was “safe” to be myself with her. I trusted Sarah to guide me throughout the process to face the uncomfortable things I did not want to talk about, but knew that I had to, in order to release the negative thoughts and habits. Sarah made me feel extremely comfortable and took control during the times when I was associating too much with the pain. I walked out feeling like I’d released a huge burden.
